Marshall Road faculty were treated to a pizza and ice cream party, provided by the FCPS Human Resources Department, to celebrate Ms. Emily Burke, the 2018 FCPS Outstanding New Elementary Teacher! Ms. Burke received her award at the formal FCPS Honors Recognition Ceremony this past June. We then had our site celebration the Friday before school started. It was an opportunity for Principal Heiges and our school admin team and Mr. Douglas Tyson, Assistant Superintendent for Region 1, and members of the FCPS Human Resources Department to honor Ms. Burke with the staff.
